To study Education and Igbo in any accredited university or polytechnic in Nigeria, here is the Jamb and Waec subject combination and requirements you need to look out for.
Note that English Language is Compulsory for all courses in UTME.
The UTME subject includes;
Igbo and two (2) other Arts subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNILAG requires any three (3) of Literature in English, History/
Government, French/Arabic, Geography, Mathematics, Igbo, Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, Economics/Commerce

O’Level Requirements
You need;
Five (5) WASSC credit passes including English Language and Igbo

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNILAG requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language,
Mathematics, Igbo and any two (2) of French/Arabic, Literature in
English, History/Government, Geography, Economics/Commerce,
Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, /West African Traditional
Religion and Civic Education.

Direct Entry Requirements
You need;
Two (2) NCE/’A’ Level passes in Igbo and any relevant subject.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIZIK accepts NCE not below credit in Igbo.
(iii) UNILAG accepts very good passes in three (3) JUPEB subjects. (a)
NCE credit/merit in Igbo and any two (2) Arts subjects. (b) very good
passes in three (3) JUPEB subjects; Igbo and two (2) of French, Yoruba, Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies/Islamic
Studies, Geography and Government/History and UTME requirements.
(c) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant teaching subjects. (d) candidate must also satisfy the UTME requirements.
