The cost of living in Canada is very much affordable for students compared to other top-tier countries. It is worth noting that the cost of living in Canada varies based on the location of the university. Aside from the university’s tuition fee, international students are advised to have an additional $10 to $15k as miscellaneous to sustain in Canada. But generally, the cost of living in Canada for international students solely depends on the location of the student’s university. Note: The Canadian government requires that an applicant show proof of having $10,000 CAD on top of tuition for a student visa. 

1. Cost Of Accommodation

The cost of accommodation in any of the cities in Canada solely depends on the University’s location/province and also the student’s taste. There are different types of accommodations available these include; Student residences, Apartments, and on-campus housing. The average cost of accommodation ranges from CAD$4000 – $12000 annually.

2. Food

The expenses for food comes right after the cost of accommodation. This mainly depends on students’ eating culture/standards. On average, a student spends around CAD$1500- $3000 each year on food.

3. Transportation

At times, it demands that students travel to different campuses or go on study tours. The cost of transportation ranges between CAD$80 to $120 per month, again this also depends on the city.

4. Other Related Cost:
