The Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye (OOU), is owned and managed by the government at the state level. Olabisi Onabanjo University is located in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria. OOU was founded on 7th July 1982 as Ogun State University (OSU) but was renamed to Olabisi Onabanjo University on 29th May 2001 in honour of the then civilian governor Chief (Dr.) Olabisi Onabanjo, whose efforts gave birth to the university during his tenure. The Olabisi Onabanjo University offers various undergraduate courses/programs

The Olabisi Onabanjo University courses are fully accredited and recognized by the National University Commission (NUC) a body overseeing all tertiary institutions (Universities) in Nigeria.
