JAMB 2022 Registration Date

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB on Monday, January 24th 2022 announced the commencement of registration for the 2022 UTME and DIRECT Entry examinations. The sale of forms begins on February 12th, 2022 and ends on 19th March 2022. The board also announced that the 2022 UTME exams hold from 20th to 30th April 2022. Aspiring applicants are advised to note that there will be no extension of time for the sale of the UTME/DE application forms, as registration closes on 19th March 2022.

In line with the released timetable for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, The UTME 2022 exams will commence on the 20th of April2022. The UTME examination is scheduled to hold between the 20th of April and 19th March, 2022

To aid the success of both the registration and the exam, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB had earlier released the Official list of her over 700 CBT accredited centres for 2022 UTME/DE registration across the nation. Interested applicants are advised to choose a centre that will be convenient throughout the entire process.

The text to be used for 2022 UTME will be made known to interested candidates when registration begins on the 20th of April

JAMB 2022 Mock Exam

Interested applicants are advised to note that the mock examination will be held on 20th April 2022 for only candidates who indicated interest and are registered before 20th April.

NIN:

Interested applicants will be asked to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) during the application for the 2022 UTME.

Interested applicants for 2022 UTME are advised to note that their 1st choice can be either a College of Education, University, Innovative Enterprise Institutes, Polytechnics/Monotechnics, NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy), or Nigeria Police Academy.

JAMB 2022 Registration Requirements

The general entry requirements for the 2022 UTME admission for either First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes in Universities, and other degree-awarding institutions such as Monotechnics, Polytechnics, Innovation Enterprise Institutions and Colleges of Education, interested applicants must acquire a minimum of at least five (5) O’Level/WAEC Credit passes to include; Mathematics and English Language. Further details will be made available in the e-Brochure which would be given to each Candidate upon successful registration at any JAMB accredited CBT centres or JAMB State-Offices.

How to generate the JAMB 2022 Registration Profile code Through Text Message:

Kindly follow the steps below to generate the 2022 UTME profile code:

Note: Applicants are advised to note that only one (1) mobile number (SIM Card) is permitted to be used by a candidate, the phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the Candidate’s name and will be used in all communications related to the applicant’s 2022 UTME Application, Examination/Admission.

  • Send your [Surname First-Name Middle- Name (if any)] by text message (SMS) to 55019. This should be a maximum of 38 characters + 2 spaces between names = 40 characters in all to 55019, e.g. Bolaji Edward Peter. Surname and first name are mandatory.
  • A Profile Code containing 10 characters will be sent to you on the same phone (SIM) number
  • You are to presents this 10-character profile code at the point of procurement of the 2022 UTME form either in the Bank, MMOs, MFBs, Switches, or USSD Partners. The form- e-PIN will be sent as a text message to you.
  • You are to presents the e-PIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for registration.

Registration Process at CBT Centres:

The candidate presents the ePIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for completion of registration. The name of the candidate as typed by the candidate on his/her phone when registering the profile comes up automatically on the input of the e-PIN by the CBT centre

Candidates are to:

  • Pay NOT more than N700 as Service Charge to the CBT Centre
  • Provide Biodata including Date of Birth, Nationality, State of Origin, Local Government, Gender, e-mail address, among others
  • Provide choice of institutions and programmes (disciplines)
  • Provide qualification with grades and dates, if not awaiting result.
  • Upload relevant certificates, if not awaiting result.
  • O/Level and or A/Level grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the results online as soon as they are available on JAMB’s portal. No recommendations from any Institution will be considered by JAMB if the candidate has not supplied his/her result on the portal of JAMB
  • Supply JAMB registration number for previous institutional certificates for DE only
  • Provide UTME subjects and choice of examination town(s) for
    • Mock examination (optional)
    • Examination for UTME (actual examination)
  • Do picture capture (no scanning of passport photograph)
  • Do Biometric enrolment (ten fingers)
  • Review entries and confirm correctness
  • Print Registration Slip USING BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION
  • Collect, at no other cost, the reading text, and CD
  • Each Candidate is to collect his/her e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration
  • There will be no offline registration, as all the accredited CBT centres have been empowered for real-time online registration. No candidate should register at any centre other than the accredited CBT centre and JAMB State-Offices. Any candidate who is registered outside approved centres will be identified and disqualified.
