To study Technical Education in any accredited university or polytechnic in Nigeria, here is the Jamb and Waec subject combination and requirements you need to look out for.
Note that English Language is Compulsory for all courses in UTME.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNIBEN requires any Science subject in lieu of Chemistry.
(ii)UNILAG requires Mathematics, Physics/Technical Drawing, and any other Science/Technical subjects.
(ii)TASUED requires English Language, Mathematics and any two (2) Science subjects.
(iii) IAUE requires Physics and one (1) Science subject or Geography, Economics or Technical Drawing.
(iv) UNIZIK accepts Mathematics, Physics and any other subject.
(v) DELSU accepts Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other Arts/Social Science/Science subjects.
(vi) AAUA accepts Physics/ Mathematics and any two Science or Social Science subjects.

O’Level Requirements
You require;
Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics or NTC/NBC.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) MAUTECH accept TC II.
(ii) RSUST requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics.
(iii) UNIZIK accepts a pass in ‘O’ Level English Language.
(v) IAUE requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Technical Drawing and Physics. Accepts WASSC, City and Guilds and Federal Craft Training Certificate.
(vi) RSUST accepts NCE General English and Basic Mathematics in lieu of ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.
(vii) UNIBEN requires Mathematics and other subjects chosen from Physics, Chemistry, Applied Electricity, Technical Drawing, Woodwork and Basic Electronics.
(ix) UNIUYO requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Chemistry.
(x)For Agricultural Science, EBSU accepts Agriculture Science or Biology plus Chemistry and one (1) other subject.
(xi) DELSU accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other two (2) subjects at not more than two (2) sittings
(xii) TASUED requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one(1) sitting or six (6) ‘O’ Level credit passes at two (2) sittings in relevant subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, Applied Electricity, Woodwork, Building, Basic Electronics, Metal Work and auto mechanics, Auto Parts Merchandising, Air Conditioning and Refrigerator, Welding and Fabrication Engineering, Craft Practice,
Electrical Installation and Maintenance Work, Block laying and Concrete Work, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Carpentry and Joinery, Furniture
Making or NTC/NBC subjects. A pass in Chemistry is required.
(xiii) NDU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two (2) Science subjects.
(xiv) UNILAG also requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Physics/Technical Drawing and any other science/technical subjects.
(xv) AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any one (1) Science or Social Science subject.

Direct Entry Requirements
You require; (i) NCE merit in two (2) relevant Science subjects plus the UTME
requirements. (ii) Two ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(I) UNIUYO accepts ND upper credit and HND lower credit in relevant programme or equivalents in Science or Engineering.
(ii) DELSU accepts at least merit pass in NCE or Upper credit OND Technical Education in any combination of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(iii) MAUTECH accepts NCE Technical/Science merit in relevant subjects plus the UTME requirements.
(iv)RSUST and AAU accepts the following qualifications into 200 level programme if they satisfy the UTME requirements.
(a) NCE Technical/Science
(b) Associate Degree in Science or Technology.
(c) ND/HND in Science Engineering.
(d) City and Guilds Full Technological Certificate. NCE Technical Education, Advanced Technical Certificate with three (3) related ‘O’ Level subjects, ND in Technical Courses
(v) IAUE, MAUTECH and DELSU accept any of the following qualifications into 200 level if they satisfy the UTME requirements.
(a)ND/HND in Science or Engineering;
(b) City and Guilds Full Technological Certificate.
(vii) UNIBEN accepts City AND Guilds final or Engineering Technicians Certificate (Part II), plus three (3) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at one (1) sitting
(ix) UNIBEN (a) requires two (2) or three (3) NCE merit including Technical Education plus three (3) or two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at one (1) sitting.
(b) accepts Advanced National Teachers’ Certificate in relevant Studies plus five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language.
(c) Two (2) NCE merit in Physics/ Chemistry, Chemistry/Mathematics or Physics / Mathematics plus three (3) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at one (1) sitting.
(xi) UNILAG accepts
(a) Very good passes in three (3) JUPEB subjects; Physics/ Technical Drawing and any other two (2) Science subjects.
(b) NABTEB/NTC Advanced
(c) London City and Guilds of London
Advanced.
(d) WASSC Technical Advanced (e) NCE credit/merit in Technical/Technology Education, Building/ Woodwork, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical/Auto Mechanical and any other relevant Technical course in addition to UTME requirements.
(xiii) MAUTECH accepts NCE merit in relevant subjects. It also accepts 'A' Level passes in related subjects. (xiv) TASUED accepts NCE merit in two (2) relevant Science subjects plus the UTME requirements or ND/HND upper credit in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical/Electronic or Building Technology. (xv) NDU – Same as Vocational and Technical Education. (xvi) AAUA accepts (a)‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Physics
and relevant Studies.
(b) ND lower credit in Civil Engineering and
Production.
(c) Final City and Guilds or equivalent plus the National Technical Certificate
(d) NCE merit/NABTEB including credit in Physics and Mathematics
(e) City and Guilds Engineering Technicians Part II certificate
(f) ND credit in Computer Education, Physics, Mathematics and Computer science.
