JAMB UTME Requirements for Political Science

Note that English Language is Compulsory for all courses in UTME.

JAMB Subject Combination for Political Science:

  • Government or History plus two other Social Science/Arts subjects

WAEC Requirements for Political Science:

  • Interested applicants must acquire a minimum of at least five WASSCE credit passes in Government or History, English Language, and three (3) other subjects. At least a pass in Mathematics is required

Direct Entry Requirements for Political Science:

  • Interested candidates must acquire at least two (2) ‘A’ level passes including Government or History.

Nigerian Universities Offering Political Science:

You can enroll in the Bachelor’s degree programs for Political Science either through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), by Direct Entry, or through the Pre-degree Programme.
Basically, the purpose of the entry requirement is to ensure that those admitted have the necessary preparedness to scale through the program. There is a compulsory screening test in some of these universities for all eligible candidates.
