This is to inform all candidates who took part in the just-concluded Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) 2021/2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that the results of the afore-mentioned examination have been released and that they can now check their JAMB result either through SMS or with their respective registration numbers on the board’s official website. This article serves as a guide to prospective students on how to check JAMB result through SMS and also how to check JAMB result with registration number.

Eligible candidates can now access the JAMB 2021 Result either through SMS or ONLINE with their registration number. Kindly follow the steps outlined below to access your UTME score.

To Check the JAMB 2021 Result through SMS Please follow the steps below.

  1. Type “UTMERESULT” and send it as an SMS to 55019. Make sure you are using the same mobile phone number you used while creating your JAMB profile and JAMB Registration… 

N/B: You must have a minimum of N50 credit balance on the Simcard for this process to be successful. 

Your result will be sent to you within a couple of minutes but however, if after 1 – 12 hours you are yet to receive any response from JAMB, then kindly type JAMB followed by the candidate’s surname, first name, and middle name, and then send to this shortcode, 55019

How To Check JAMB Result With Registration Number:

To check The JAMB 2021 Result using your registration number, kindly follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Go to the JAMB result checking portal at https://www.jamb.org.ng/ExamSlipPrinting3/CheckUTMEResults
  2. Enter your JAMB Registration Number/Email Address in the required column.
  3. Click on ‘Check My Results’.
    The portal will load your result if it’s ready. 

Listed below are the responses to be expected:

  1. If a candidate uses a mobile phone number that was not used for registration, a message will be sent to him/her thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
  2. A candidate whose result is ready will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).
  3. If a result is withheld, a “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate.
  4. If a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.
  5. If a candidate was absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
  6. A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
  7. Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.

N/B: JAMB results are released in batches. If the portal returns with “You Do Not Have Any Result Yet”, that implies your result is not yet ready. So you have to check back later.
