What is the Pharmacy College Admission Test PCAT?
The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is a computer-based test administered to prospective pharmacy school students. It has been an admission criterion into most pharmacy colleges principally in the United States and Canada since 1974. The PCAT is often administered by Pearson Education, Inc. The PCAT is often conducted in January, July, and September every academic year. The test is usually divided into five (5) sections to be taken in roughly three and a half hours. The PCAT test includes Writing, Biology, Chemistry, Critical Reading, and Quantitative Reasoning sections.
Furthermore, the PCAT does not have a definite passing score, however, most pharmacy schools often set their own standards for acceptable scores. There is no penalty is given for incorrect answers.

However, the grading point ranges from 200 to 600 so to stand a better chance of being considered for admission, applicants are advised to score at least 400 and above.
