Obinna Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana is from Oba, in Demili-South Local Government Area in Anambra State, Nigeria.
Obi attended the Central Primary School, Oba where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He then proceeded to the Dennis Memorial Grammar School, in Onitsha where he obtained his West Africa Senior School Certificate(WASSCE).
Upon completing his primary and secondary school education in 1998, Obi proceeded to the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) where he obtained his first degree in Political Science.
Obi Cubana got married to his wife, Mrs. Ebele Iyiegbu in 2008, Mrs. Ebele Iyiegbu is a Lawyer by profession, and the founder of the KIEK Foundation, a non-governmental organization established with the sole purpose of improving the lives of the less privileged children in the society through quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and child’s rights governance, their union is blessed with four children (all boys).
Obi Cubana’s Career
Obi Cubana started his first club in 2006 which he named “Ibiza Club” in Abuja to satisfy fun seekers and nightlife lovers. In 2009, following the remarkable turnaround he made from the Ibiza Club, he established the Cubana Group, a hospitality club that provides all-around entertainment satisfaction. The Cubana group was first established in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Today, Cubana has spread across various states in the country including Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
With the help of one of his close business associates Paschal Okechukwu who is popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, Obi Cubana is able to manage his businesses across the country with ease.
In a recent interview, Obi Cubana announced that he is currently focusing on building Cubana Dubai and Cubana Real Estate, meaning that he is looking at replicating what he has here in Nigeria in the UAE, while also venturing into real estate.
