The Usmanu Danfodio University, formerly the University of Sokoto. UDUSOK as it is fondly called is a globally Acknowledged Nigerian university, owned and managed by the Nigerian federal government. The Usmanu Danfodio University is located in Sokoto, Sokoto State, Nigeria. The Usmanu Danfodio University is one of the initial twelve universities founded in Nigeria by the federal government in 1975. UDUSOK is a degree-awarding institution. The university also runs associate degrees and remedial programmes. The Usmanu Danfodio University currently has Twelve (12) faculties and a total of fourteen (14) research centers with an estimated student population of about 22,300. UDUSOK offers various undergraduate courses/programs.
UDUSOK courses are fully accredited and recognized by the National University Commission (NUC), a body overseeing all tertiary institutions (Universities) in Nigeria.
