  • Driver’s License
  • Voter’s card (Temporary or Permanent)
  • Nigerian International passport
  • Certificate of Origin
  • Attestation letter from a prominent ruler in your community
  • Birth certificate

  • NHIS ID card
  • Government staff ID card

The deadline for NIN registration and linkage to phone lines has been extended a number of times and the new date has been shifted to June 30th, 2021 for all subscribers.

How to Check NIN Number: 

To check your NIN number, Simply Dial *346#, and press SEND/OK on your phone (N/B: this number must be the one you used during your NIN registration).

  • Enter “1” to choose NIN Retrieval Option
  • Enter “2” to choose the NIN Search option ( If you have lost your number, you will be required to input some of your registration details.) Once you have retrieved it, congratulations.

To link NIN to your MTN sim, kindly follow the steps below;
Step I
You can link NIN to your MTN sim through MTN’s online registration portal via https://mtnonline.com/nin
Step II
You can link NIN to your MTN sim through USSD code: Simply dial *785# or through myMTNApp, you can get the app either on Google Play for Android users or on Apple Store for iOS users.
Complete the NIN linking form by entering your name, phone number, NIN, and email address. Submit the form as soon as you’re done and wait for feedback from the network.

To link NIN to your airtel line, kindly follow either of the simple steps below;
Step I
Kindly visit airtel’s online registration link via www.airtel.com.ng/nin

Step II
Simply dial *121*1# on your Airtel line to submit your NIN
Type 1 for “NIN Capture” and press SEND/OK.
Enter your 11-digit NIN and press SEND/OK.
Wait for the message confirming your submission.
If you get an error, just wait for some time and try again.

How to Link NIN to 9MOBILE:

To link NIN to your 9MOBILE, kindly follow either of the simple steps below;

Step I
To link NIN to your 9mobile line, simply dial *200*8# and follow the message prompts to submit your details

To link NIN to your 9mobile kindly visit 9mobile.com.ng/nin and follow the steps below
I. Click on ‘Verify and Link your NIN now’
II. Fill in the required information and submit

How to Link NIN to Glo:

To link NIN to your Glo line, kindly follow either of the steps below;

Step I.
Visit the Glo online registration portal via www.gloworld.com/ng/nin to fill in your information and link.

Step II.
Simply dial *109*yourNIN# (e.g *109*54673645287#) and follow the prompts to submit your details

Step III
The last option is to submit your NIN By SMS. Simply text your 11-digits NIN number to 109 (e.g 54673645287 to 109) and wait for a reply.
