Niger Delta University (NDU) is located in Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. It was established in 2000 by the then Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha. The university has two main campuses, one in the state capital, Yenagoa, which accommodates the law faculty, and the other in Amassoma. The university has a student population of over 18,400 students spread across her twelve (12) faculties.
