FUTO Cut-Off Mark 2022/2023: We are pleased to inform the general public that the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) management has released her Cut-off marks for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO as it is fondly called, is Nigeria’s oldest technology university. FUTO was established in 1980 by executive order, the composition of Shehu Shagari, Nigeria’s first interim president. FUTO became the first of the three such universities established by the Nigerian federal government to establish a technological university in every of the country’s geopolitical zones, especially in a state that did not have a conventional university.
On November 28, 1980, FUTO opened its doors to its pioneer staff and students from various parts of the country.
Federal University of Technology, Owerri courses are fully accredited and recognized by the National University Commission (NUC), a body overseeing all tertiary institutions (Universities) in Nigeria.

What is FUTO Cut-off Mark in 2022/2023 For all Courses?
This is to inform the general public, especially aspirants of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, that the FUTO’s cut-off mark for the JAMB 2022/2023 academic session is 180. Candidates who scored at least 180 in the just-concluded Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) and had chosen the FUTO as their first choice of institution are eligible to purchase and participate in the Federal University of Technology, Owerri’s POST-UTME screening exercise.

FUTO Post-UTME Requirements:
- Interested candidates must score at least 180 and above in UTME.
- Candidates who chose FUTO as their first choice institution in UTME
- Candidates with a minimum of (5) O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) either in GCE, WASSCE, NECO, or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- The candidate must be at least 16 years of age.
