UNIUYO Postgraduate Admission Requirements
- To qualify for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme, at the University of Uyo, applicants should be graduates of the University of Uyo or any other NUC accredited University recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo, or persons who hold qualifications equivalent to first degree or holders of recognized Higher National Diploma.
- Applicants will be required to have acquired a credit pass at ‘O’ Level in five relevant subjects including English Language obtained at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates with ‘O’ Level examination results before 2010 are believed to have collected their certificates and not the statement of results or result slips.
- Applicants for LLM & PhD in Law must in addition to the above have credit passes in ‘O’ Level English Literature.
- All applicants will be subjected to Screening Tests as indicated.
- Interested applicants must submit their NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption certificate
- Applicants who obtained their degrees through the Remedial Programmes must present their evidence of having remedied the relevant subjects for the programmes externally that is, either through WASSCE, NECO or NABTEB.
- Applicants are expected to also meet the departmental requirements for their chosen programmes.
University of Uyo Postgraduate Course Duration
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in Education lasts for a minimum of at least two (2) semesters and a maximum of four (4) semesters for all full-time students.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in Educational Technology lasts for a minimum of three semesters and a maximum of five semesters for all full-time students.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in Engineering lasts for a minimum of at least four (4) semesters and a maximum of six (6) semesters for all full-time students.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in Economics lasts for a minimum of at least two (2) semesters and a maximum of four (4) semesters for all full-time students.
